๐ŸŒž - Sunshine in Your Inbox - Creating a List of Comforts

Sunshine in Your Inbox

September 21, 2025

There are moments of sunshine all around you. This newsletter hopes to serve as an inspiration to find joy in your life each day.

In this week's Sunshine in Your Inbox, we'll make a list of our comforts.

Creating a List of Comforts

I made a list of what brings me comfort. Some items on the list are:

  • Kitka (challah bread)
  • Pancakes (crepes)
  • Mango and lychee flavors
  • Better Off Ted (my fave comfort TV show)

I know I don't necessarily need a list, but it's a good thing to have, especially if you're feeling a little overwhelmed and know you need a little comfort.

When last did you make a list of what brings you comfort?

What if you had a really hard therapy session? Or a doctor appointment that was scary? Or just feel sad?

Giving yourself permission to lean into the comforts during those times is important. Make your own list!

Is there a specific flavor that you love?

Is there a show that always makes you feel calm and relaxed?

What's a treat or food you've always loved?

What's your coziest item of clothing?

Is there a warm drink that feels comforting?

Does cocooning yourself in blankets feel good?

What if you gave your friends the opportunity to shower you with care and love?

One of the easy ways to look at creating your list is similar to how we identify our joy; look at our childhood for clues. See what other comforts you can identify from when you were a kiddo.

Write your list of comforts and have it handy. This will make it a little easier the next time you're in need of some softness and comfort.

And don't forget to share yours with others. If someone is going through it right now, how can you add a little care to their world by sharing what brings you comfort?

I'm curious, what are the things that rise to the top of your comfort list? Let me know!

Wishing you softness, hugs, and tasty little treats this week!
