Words of Encouragement from You to You

What happens when joy is elusive? When you are in it so deep that there is very little silver lining to see, let alone sparkles, bubbles, glitter, and all things joyful?

It's a hard place and one that we all find ourselves in from time to time. As someone who knows how this feels, I decided to share words of encouragement for all of us who may need a nudge towards more sunshine and joy.

If you need a little encouragement now, imagine that it's YOU sharing these thoughts to yourself. It's one thing for someone else to share words of encouragement, it's another for you to find meaning in them.

Imagine your wiser self is holding your hands and giving you words of encouragement.

• You have navigated challenging times before, you can do this now
• You are not the same person as you were when you have faced challenges before. You are stronger and wiser now
• The work needed to face your fears head-on is daunting, but you can do it!
• Stay focused! You've got this!
• Take breaks. Make sure you are planning time for fun and games, literally
• You have to go through to the get to the other side. There's no other way. You've tried to go around, but now faced with the issue again. You've got this. Keep going!
• I know it's hard and I wish I could make it easier for you. But I know you have what it takes to get through it
• You have what it takes to get through difficult times. You are resilient and honestly, an absolute badass!
• I'm sorry you are going through it right now. Let's have a little cry about it before we make a plan
• I believe in you

Keep going, my friends. When life is throwing all of its challenges your way, give yourself the pep talk that YOU need to hear.
